Photographic Projections: Natural Auto-Selection

There are people with an astute sense of natural auto-selection. I say natural auto-selection and not just natural selection because this is the way it really is. It’s not an outside, exterior type of natural selection, but rather an inner one coming from within the living being submitted to such law.

I was recently reflecting upon ancient civilizations, people of ancient times and I stumbled upon the very natural way of being of the Dacians, or better yet the Thracian peoples of Central Europe back thousands of years ago, the way they were as people, as human beings, their legacy in this world, their cultural and religious heritage they left to us, and I understood that, not only they were very religious peoples with great respect for the Divine, but they were very natural at doing it too, at practising their religion, its mysteries etc. They were christianised very naturally too, as they took the Christian Religion as their own. They actually graduated from the class of monotheistic Zamolxian Religion to the Christian one in a natural way, in the school of life, so to say. They were christians before they were christianised. This is a part of the natural auto-selection.

There is this we call natural selection in Nature, yes, but I understood that it is an auto-selection. Beings evolving in the reigns of Mother Nature submit themselves to this law of natural selection making it their own. There is no such thing as an exterior law of nature of any sort, because there is no such thing as the exterior. Beings can understand this by only becoming self-conscious. Actually they don’t become self-conscious, they develop it in the journey to themselves as minerals, plants, animals and ultimately humans.

But as humans the next step is to realize that we have a purpose and we are connected to the Divine. This connections is within, not without, because, again, there is no exterior, no outside God, so to speak. This was an idea implemented in our minds to keep us exteriorized, that is out of ourselves and away from the God within us. This purpose is called vocation sometimes, destiny other times etc. But when we talk about vocation we talk about the inner calling of the being who feels the need to do something worthwhile, something to call his or her own, a master work, a masterpiece of life. It could be anything from any branch or line of professional work, or not. One could be a great speaker, motivator of people, a great teacher, another one could be a great instructor of geniuses around the world or in his or her own country. It doesn’t matter how one calls it, it is just a need, a profound need to realize something of great need for the world. Where there is a gap, the God within will fill it.

Vocation is a part of the natural way of being. Vocation is the constituent part of any human being’s inner spiritual journey and cannot be separated from it. I met people recently saying that one must renounce vocation because it becomes an obstacle to the said journey and I say it would never be such thing. They didn’t understand what vocation is. But if someone feels the need to give up vocation, that someone will do it naturally. Giving up doesn’t mean quitting, but surrendering to the natural way of the being to auto-realization. Quitting is just renouncing before completing the project, one’s own work. If it becomes an obstacle than giving it up will be necessary.

Look at a deciduous tree, for example! What happens in autumn? Doesn’t it shed its leaves naturally? Because it doesn’t need them anymore. Keeping them would only make its life worse, losing a lot of organic material, nutrient etc., due to the frost in winter time. Its leaves are fragile and have little protection to the harshness of winter. It is a measure of protection, of course. But this is natural and not outside imposed. It doesn’t hold winter any grudges for this. :)

This is how I understood spirituality…
