Snow Desert – continued..

Today I decided I should post some other photos from my Secaria winter collection. I think what strikes me the most about this trip is this photographic story and journey through the snow desert in that place.
I should mention that getting back to abstract photography could be the case but also another landscape composition could show the dezolance of the place. It’s true, though, that durring winter everything seems lifeless, although, in reality it is not the case. It isn’t lifeless, it is dormant. I’ll give you an example.
A few years ago it rained in Death Valley, USA. That is the hottest, driest place in the United States. It was the first time it rained there, ever and after the rain, a miracle happened. The entire floor of the valley and beyond was covered with spring flowers. Death Valley wasn’t dead anymore. I should rename it “Dormant Valley, USA”. :D And there are many examples like these out there.
But anyways, hiking through the snow while nature is dormant, the trees have no leaves and their size is small in comparizon with other trees, doesn’t make it difficult. What makes it difficult is the resonance it has within ourselves. We feel this way because we relate to that place. Notice the fact that I’m using black and white mostly, here, or cold tones.
